EXT. BERLIN - DAY

CLOSE IN on Olsen's wrist at his side. He is wearing his Russian wind-up aluminium watch. The needles are not moving.

FOLLOW. He walks into a jewelery repair store in Berlin. He meets young Apprentice, a teenager. Expecting an older person who would know how to repair a mechanical wind-up wristwatch, there are four other young persons just like the apprentice, two lads and two gals. They are huddled over their worktable with disassembled Apple watches: iWatch (tap), iSpot (gesture), iSeey (swipe).

G-Boi of the Underground goes into the store.

PULL BACK to show all the clocks and wares in the store. They are all Rammstein timepieces. G-Boi's left wrist is wrapped in military parachord and wooden sliding beads for counting. He gives APPRENTICE a Rammstein watch.

WITHIN KALEIDOSCOPE, scintillations, sparkles and dazzle, Apprentice's magnified face PULLS OUT. Back to the jewelry store. From behind the counter, Apprentice pulls out a shopping bag decorated with graphics of seashells and water and tropical marine life. The logo on the bag is ``R+ with Rolex crown``, suggesting that Rolex is a subsidiary of Rammstein.[1] Apprentice pulls out a velvet jewelry box marked ROLEX. As he opens the box, G-Boi leans forward to see.

PUSH IN, VIGNETTE. A natural oyster shell opens. The satiny green armature of character Germania from ``Deutschland`` with tricluster of pearls on a sleeve. She is gripping her sword, we do not see her face.

MUSIC VIDEO - ``My World`` (Emigrate 2007).

TRANSITION - Swiss flag fabric waves and snaps, moving sideways across.
The decision
Rammstein accepts avant guarde theatre.

The story
Chase and Still are mortal enemies. Will Sir Still prevail or will The Chaser prove that being a naysayer is holding onto truth?
Svenn Seventeen goes into the city to look for relevant work. A construction crew gives him a day job holding out a traffic sign and flag.


Story Characters
    Chase Munndate (fictional dude without condoms), impostering Neil, hunts opportunity to perform his moody, internal surrealism. Where there is tragedy and trauma, he wants to insert himself as a naysayer that he knows he can celebrate pain and suffering while others neither tolerate nor condone.
    Placing third at a republic music performance competition, Metroblast for New Songs, he thieves art patron Neil Lederman's identity (played by obedient Till Lindemann) passcard and poses as an art afficiano, becoming obsessed with accidental first place winner Rammstein.
    Sir Stefen Wiccer Still (Till Lindemann), from one of the old regime's estate houses and living at his hamlet in Bavaria, retreats from society upon the fall of the Berlin Wall. As the European Union opens, he becomes more reclusive, losing his wife and children and dismissing his staff. He is nostalgic for his youth and cannot cope with modern society. He used to be a man of state responsibility, which has fallen on Neil Lederman, who lacks the blood-born legitimacy to do a better job.
    Tenacious and affectionate, Neil adjusts to the accelerated tech-induced industrialization of modernity by becoming more feminine. Born in Russia and raised in rural America on the Gulf of Mexico, he prefers to enjoy an easy life surrounded by gabby women and young people, bringing the party to them. In Europe he is oblivious to the state's whims, only trusting the republic and glad to have good gigs that keeps the party atmosphere going.
    Svenn Seventeen (Richard Kruspe is watching) is the last of the state's parochial volunteers to stay with Sir Still. They live an uncomfortable domestic arrangement together yet separated by obscure yearnings. Sir Still does not let him use his family name, calling him by his registered generation number. Docile and out of work, too afraid to start work as an adult employee in the republic, Svenn avoids pandering to Sir Still's misfit nonexpressionism, which frustrates Svenn's adroit communication skills. Svenn is a simple person who also has an aversion to modernity, which has been overrunning republican jobs.
    Still, a man of massive fallout, shuts down his emotional intelligence. Cultured, sophisticated, he no longer cares to carry airs so does not indulge in state functions. He has little in common with his overbearing colleagues. He cannot accept Svenn Seventeen as an adopted son and misses his commoner wife. His eldest daughter by a first love affair prefers to be estranged from him.
    Lady Sabine Strausbourg is a republican patron of the Muzers (doubling as artHaus), an art group with failing, unpopular output. They are censured for spending too much money on “unmeritable effort and poor taste”. Svenn Seventeen meets her in the city but avoids inviting her to the countryside. She offers him a janitorial job at the go-go club Catwalk. The glass catwalk was shattered by a scruffy Punk. The job is to replace it with new high-tech plexiglassipal material made by a company Strausbourg does not know. On Svenn Seventeen's advice, she moves the Catwalk operation to an old church. She tries to register her republican use for the church but state clerks are strangely vague, not helpful.
    Lady Strausbourg's husband, Stanislaw Strausbourg has cancer from plutonium dumping and wants to die in his native Austria.
    Evangelina Klawfangger (Ha not there), a frequenter of the Catwalk club, might be a vampire. Muzers are interested in giving her a job, but they opine she is pompous and circumlocutious. She has avant guarde ideas that do not sound ideal to the Muzers. Knowing she needs pocket money, they pay her to be a scantily clad exhibitionist at the Catwalk to attract ritzy clients, one of whom is Neil. He instantly thirsts for Evangelina's teases about gushing blood and scratching little cuts on his neck. But he is a bore to her, in danger of succumbing to sadomasochism, which she abhors.
    Patrik Ostafeld (Paul Landers, accidental spokesman) is an amateur videographer for the Muzers without full tenure. Fancying himself a tech tinkerer, he is more interested in machinery and city rubbles than the countryside. He goes with two other Muzers to Sir Still's estate to resolve the patrician's problem about unpaid work from many years ago, a library collection in disarray, and canisters of film rolls and concert footage missing. He captures Svenn Seventeen on camera and learns about the seedy liminal side of art without movement and time without renewal, which changes his burging perspective on the human form.
    Laurant de Festiva (Flake Lorenz walking around) used to work for Sir Still. Disenchanted, he goes into the city and becomes an agnostic street preacher. Extolling the virtues of tradition, he is pestered by his meager existence but rationalizes that it is a form of justice. When he meets Evangelina, he softens like a social mule of an uncle, concerned for the young lady. She tells him the flaws of rationalization and the end of the republic. He is nostalgic for the order of the old regime in East Berlin before the fall of the Wall, declaring that he has not lived but one decade every decade as an old man.
    Wishing she had family to be with but disgusted by poverty, Evangelina leaves Laurent, who is stuck squeezing out a harmony from an accordian without melody or rhythm. He is not ashamed that he did the same thing to Sir Still, finding out that male-female is not a binary switch of feminine and masculine but either is a neutrality about the other. Sir Still had an argument with Laurent, ashamed that he could not restore the republic to its proper level of service without a drilling regiment. Domesticated to be a manservant but not an independent soldier, Laurant seeks comaraderie with other men.
    Known to the Underground as Gloom Patroller (Christoph Schneider sold) is the nom de prophecy of industrialist Otto Trauglodino. He is trying to sell stolen plexiglassipal, first to Evangelina—who seems to reject every man—then to Lady Strausbourg. A mystic, Otto is open to upcoming futurism, when he can make more money than other people. But the Underground knows drug dealers are seeking him for his lucrative connections. Tired of stinginess in Bavaria, he wants economic security with the republic. He traces a failed loan for the Muzers to a new bank in America. In Berlin, Otto discovers that there are many bewildering forms of the German republic that still exist from the old Russian Soviet times. He feverishly investigates Muzers' dilemma: redo work from scratch under censorship and risk expulsion from the republic, or use what is left of Sir Still's collection and lift the censure to free the Muzers' creativity.
    Solclaire Parvitz (Oliver Reidel teases as The Star) is an EU banker in the USA. Having been registered in Bavaria as a draft dodger, he managed to divorce two wives. He is ready to collect his five adult children and gather his family and return to Germany. When Otto goes to Chicago, escorted by FBI and Interpol, Solclaire pulls a career-ending administrative stunt to erase his tracks in the USA. He is distracted by wealth-seeker Chase Munndate, who is cashing out Rammstein's gig paycheck a fortnight in advance during their Mystic Muse tour.
    Rammstein (played by tribute bands) are an Industrial music band from Germany. Six guys headed into their sixth decade of life and a long career together, they reluctantly rehire Olsen Involtini (trying or playing) to buy time for their tribute compilation to climb the charts. Olsen and Rammstein had a falling out over the Mystic Muse album, finding Rammstein's covers of his favorite twentieth century songs bland and monotonous. He fired himself from the Rammstein establishment and reregisters in the republican conservatory with Neil. Unimpressed by Neil's Posh Poseur Punk exterior, he wants Neil to hear real music, promising a quirky demo from the Underground he refers to as “the Q album”. Unfortunately for Neil, Olson disappears without signing all of the paperwork he needs to become an established maestro.
    On a Wednesday in the Republic of Germany, Olsen steps out of the clerk's office at the state music hall. He looks back to see bureacrats in Republican uniforms, all as correct genders. They are milling about near the steps in front of the music hall. The construction work on the road nearby is done by state-subsidized manual labourers. He looks at his wristwatch, a wind-up made of aluminium from Russia. High noon is approaching but the watch has stopped moving. He winds and winds but it only sweeps a little before failing again. Across the street at the construction zone, he believes he recognizes Svenn Seventeen, a young man he might have met before. Svenn does not look disfigured. The crew is using a laser level tripod surveying instrument. Otto is running away from a Dark Dealer (Serghey Grey) of the latest illicit street drug. He bumps into Olsen and acts like he is a subsidized salespitch man conducting legitimate business. He pulls out a scroll of condoms and starts yapping loudly about the colorful variety pack. Every metallic colour seems to be there except gold.
    Overhead, Olsen sees an aeroplane. Solclaire is inside the aeroplane. A few blocks away, Laurent is collecting street trash. He and his friend look up, they see the aeroplane making a half circle turn. A bright lightball appears in the sky, electric crackle makes noise in the air. A green beam chases after the aeroplane.

Episode : Chase chauffers in Lost Highway

The fictionalized “VH1 Story behind the Music” is a dialogue between the characters Sir Still and his protogé Svenn Seventeen. Svenn is waiting for word from the mysterious group Muzers, possibly the same republic-connected group that helped launch Rammstein's career. The two pending videos Svenn is concerned about is `Das Modell` and `Zeig Dich`. Both were already shot on 32mm film but the film canisters were stolen. Distressed and in debt, Sir Still asked the republic for help. A posh man with little taste for local politics, he leaves Berlin empty-handed and goes back to Bavaria and sinks into a bathtub.

All the Till impersonators (dubbed “Tilly” by Svenn Seventeen) are played by one guy who stole the name “Neil Lederman”[2] when he came in 3rd place at the republic's music contest in 1993, the one in which Rammstein came in second. The impersonator Lederman plays characters in the Rammstein videos, and he is the one who is going to burn in `Du Hast`.

The winner of the contest is an unknown garage band trio who knows, like, five German words and can barely count to ten in German. They had recently arrived from Ireland, Australia, and Canada, previously displaced Germans without nationality who were raised overseas. They call themselves the Leidonauts.[1]

In a last-minute advice from an organizer named Lederman, the trio rename themselves Archie Go-Go.[3] Even though they won the contest, they make a deal for Rammstein to take the prize instead. They want political legitimacy and to be regular men in Europe, while Rammstein want cultural bona fides and accolades. Jealous of Rammstein, the synthsnore Hip Trance enthusiast Chase Mandate loiters around the republic's open billets conference impersonating a republican official (Neil Lederman character). Chase came in 3rd, uses the name “Neil Lederman” as his professional persona. He runs into “Flake”, “Doom”, the carrot-munching bassist Oliver Reidel, Ars Perfecta, The Zik Zars, Nine Inch Nails, and many more musicians and bands.

The republican patron and festival organizer Neil Lederman (loosely based on rgoRep) is an American bourgeoisie who swung through Paris, met some Punks, refashioned himself as a Punk,[4] and kept going into Germany. With a lof of cash to spend and oblivious to the unionizing of Europe, he is excited to catch fresh music in unified Germany that had before been separated and buried in the underground of East Berlin. He is accidentally a pro-EU unionist, for the opportunity of a lifetime. He is willing to let go of being an American and brace the matter that he is a continental European.
    A patron with a heart of gold, he is trapped in an external distortion upon his identity and joy.

At his estate, Sir Still hears `Spiel mit mir`. As he sinks into a wooden barrel bath, he sinks into a depression. The Chaser is tricking Sir Still to come out and accept him, he wants more money and more opportunities to use Rammstein's fame to go all the way to the Grammys.
  1. after Leidos corporation and the Argonauts; Leidos is a splice of the word kaleidescope. in reality Leidos was like Rgo, one of those federal ad hoc groups that had stuck around. Leidos planned to sell themselves to Ha directly, to be added to Q Rgo's ledger for state function, rather than what actually happened many years later. At the time in 1993, the price to move Leidos under a political section cost $50 million full payment. Somebody got greedy and pushed to counteroffer $50 million was only the downpayment. Leidos' assets were worth more than Ha's 1/3rd of Rgo Trio, which eventually was not true. Thomas scoffed: Right then in 1993 Leidos without Ha was worth $50, one dinner and dance for a Pentagon general. She re-estimated the company of 500 and their assets were worth $350 million instant if transferred to civilians and everything else destroyed. But we have [the superior government version of StarLink, and the whole infrastructure], their union representative declared. To prove Ha was the right custodian for Leidos group, they inquired on transacting their in-house appraisal at $480 million, a certain amount of that overseas. ____
  2. not Ha's Political Science professor Cary Nederman, a to-English Canadian translator of the Latin of Policraticus (c.1159). She chastised Cary through former fellow Phil Gray, on his broken thesis on tyranny and democracy from his article “Duty to Kill”, a response she wrote in pencil. Cary misunderstood alienum, fratercide, and state assassination versus state reform. He edited out chapters of the John of Salisbury work, the ones on rural estate management. Same as the 'A', agriculture, in Texas A&M University, no longer stood for anything.
  3. in reality, Defense intelligence corporations were actually offended by PaulH's support of Ha's music gig. PaulH got the memo that Ha wanted Rammstein to use lots of bow and arrow and fireworks and flames for live concerts. Two decades later, Ha worked for NSA on a DIA contract for SAIC, the section that would become Leidos, which she reclassified the whole corporation because they did not have permission to carry any deficit or debt nor reincorporate onto the New York Stock Exchange.
  4. Ha described Lederman's fresh, updated Punk outfits. In serious detail, many outfits. The character was different from all the Punks in Germany because he is an American who got styled by a boutique in France. Actually became RZK's signature style. Yes, the double belts, Richard and Ha agreed. Jason preferred sailor pants for Richard; Ha acquiesced and proceeded to fund Rammstein's clothing outfits.
